Sales contests among service staff promote suggestive selling and upselling. Menu entries or categories of menu entries can be grouped into a contest and — optionally — be limited to and tracked over a specific time period.
On the Daily Setup > Contests page, click Add Contest.
The Add Contest page appears, with the General tab active. Remain on the General tab and complete the following fields:
Name: Enter the name of the contest.
Active: Enable this flag if you want the contest to be active at POS.
Limited: Enable this flag to limit the contest to specific dates and times.
Starting: Set a date and time when the contest starts.
Ending: Set a date and time when the contest ends.
Click the Qualifying Items tab at the top of the page.
Expand the category trees to locate the desired category or menu entry, then click the desired category / menu entry to select it. Repeat for other applicable categories / menu entries.
Click the Departments tab at the top of the page.
Select the departments the contests should be active in.
