Customizing Action Bars

Action Bars are a set of predefined functions (Check, Seat and Item) that are linked to the Front of House Check Actions. You have the option to customize all three bars to organize or limit the content of the action bar per department. To customize you will need to clone the predefined set bar and assign to desired department.

1. Steps to Clone:

• Open Action Bars by selecting the Advance Setup From the Back of House Home Page.

• From Advance Setup a side menu will pop up and select Action Bars.

• Choose which Action Bar you would like to clone and select the Clone button. A new Action Bar is created automatically with the same naming convention with the addition of - Clone at the end of the name.

• Select the newly cloned Action Bar and an Edit Action Bar screen will pop up. You can change the name of the Action Bar in this screen

• Scroll down and choose which functions you want to be visible for Front of House in the Edit Screen by removing any unwanted functions by selecting the trash can in the Function Button.

• On the same screen you have the option to move functions to change in what order they appear by using the drop down sorting option Custom and drag the button to the new location or it will default to Alphabetical order.

• Save Action Bar.

2. Assign new Action Bar to the desired department:

• Go to Advanced Setup > Departments

• Choose a Department and select Actions tab

• Assign cloned action bar by choosing which Action Bar type you edited and select the new Action Bar using the drop menu under the type.

Select All or Select None option will allow you select or deselect an entire category.

• Save Department. The saved Department will be replicated in the Front of the House Check Actions (see example below).
